Actigraphic data are used in a variety of clinical trials in which subjects’ levels of activity must be assessed. These trials are conducted in a number of CNS and cardiovascular indications, such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), movement disorders, and hypertension. There may be special applications of actigraphic technology in trials of sleep therapeutics. For example, actigraphy data may be used to estimate sleep parameters in outpatient studies or when subjects are in screening.
Clinilabs’ core data center provides centralized processing (scoring) of actigraphic data using “best-in-class” hardware and software applications. Investigator sites worldwide are able to transmit data to our facility for processing using a Web-based interface, and receive reports within 24 hours.
