Requirements:
• Strong experience as a SQL Server production DBA.
• Experience in installation, configuration, backups and restores, updates, monitoring, and maintaining databases.
• Experience with performance monitoring and tuning.
• Experience with SQL Server log shipping and replication.
• Experience with disaster recovery techniques.
• Prior experience with large databases in a fast-paced production environment.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem management skills.
• Strong English verbal and written communication skills
Responsibilities:
• Proactively monitoring and maintaining production databases.
• Installing, upgrading, patching and keeping SQL Servers up to date with the latest service packs.
• Performing database backups, restores, log shipping etc.
• Performing database performance and query tuning.
• Following up and escalating problems to appropriate teams and coordinating their resolution.
• Performing SQL failure investigation and SQL error message investigation.
• Implementing database migration from one server to another and synchronizing the testing/staging and production environments.
• Performing user data integrity checks by scheduling jobs and stored procedures.
