CLINILABS EXHIBITS AT APA 2008 ANNUAL MEETING

Washington, DC (May 1, 2008) – Clinilabs, Inc., a specialty contract research organization (CRO), will be an exhibitor at the American Psychiatric Association’s (APA) 161st Annual Meeting.  This event is scheduled to take place at the Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC, from May 3rd through the 8th, bringing over 19,000 physicians from various healthcare sectors, including psychiatric and other mental health disciplines.

Known as one of the major American scientific gatherings, professionals from all over the world are expected to attend.  The Meeting will offer hundreds of educational sessions and presentations on the latest advances taking place in the industry.  “The Annual Meeting of the APA is an important event for professionals involved in psychiatric research,” stated Dr. Gary Zammit, Clinilabs’ President & CEO.  “It represents one of the year’s best opportunities for industry and academia to come together to consider new data regarding the treatment of mental illness.”

Dr. Zammit’s article, “Antidepressants and Insomnia” will appear in the May 2008 issue of Primary Psychiatry, the largest circulation, peer-reviewed psychiatric journal in the United States.  The article discusses the evidence supporting the efficacy and safety of combining antidepressants with a hypnotic for the treatment of comorbid mood disorders and insomnia.

In addition to exhibiting, Clinilabs will have on-site registration for its investigator database, the Company’s primary resource for identifying qualified investigators for participation in multicenter clinical trials.  The benefits of registering as an investigator in the database include, but are not limited to, a free Web-based investigator profile, notification of new clinical trial opportunities, free Web-based training for investigators and site staff, and free continuing education (CE) credits for completion of clinical research training modules.

Cognitive Drug Research (CDR), Clinilabs’ strategic partner and leading provider of cognitive assessment services to the pharmaceutical industry, will also be attending this event.  CDR’s CEO, Professor Keith Wesnes, will be presenting on "The Use of the CDR System, an Automated Test System for Assessing Cognitive Function in Drug Development" at 9:15 AM on May 3rd, at the American Association for Technology in Psychiatry, a meeting held in conjunction with APA.
