Eric Brian “BJ” Segal, M.D., is a board-certified psychiatry and neurology expert focused on clinical neurophysiology, child neurology, and epilepsy. He obtained his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University and completed his pediatric residency at The Children’s Hospital at Montefiore, Fellowship in Child Neurology at New York Presbyterian Hospital, Columbia University Medical Center, and specialized training in clinical neurophysiology at Children’s Hospital of Boston.
Currently, Segal is the director of pediatric epilepsy and director of research at Northeast Regional Epilepsy Group, the co-chief of epilepsy at Hackensack University Medical Center, and assistant professor of pediatrics and neurology at Seton Hall University School of Medicine, Rutgers University, and Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He is a board member at both Family Resources Network and Northeast New York Epilepsy Foundation. Segal has earned numerous accolades and awards and has been the author and co-author of over 14 publications that have mainly focused on the diagnosis and treatment of neurogenetic disorders.
